The 20 km of Brussels 2024

The 2024 edition of the 20 km of Brussels race was special for Team Giraffe. We partnered with the American Protestant Church of Bonn, Germany, to honour the memory of Jürgen, our energetic, generous, and passionate friend and co-director, who passed away on 25 March 2023. A total of 39 runners and walkers, including friends and family of Jürgen, joined on this occasion to raise funds for the Giraffe Project. 

These funds will be used to increase the capacity of our partner schools and add to our bursary fund to sponsor more of the children who apply to us for help in the Kibera, Mathare North and Dandora slums.

We would like to say a big 'Thank you!' to everybody who joined the race, came along as supporter or donated to the team! Your contributions are making a real difference to the lives of very disadvantaged children.
